Frequently Asked Questions
To serve the world’s best clients, we require the world’s best preparation. Review our equipment and backup standards below.
General & Application Process
Do I need previous experience to apply?
While some specialized roles require experience, we often have openings for entry-level candidates who are eager to learn. We value attitude, reliability, and “trainability” just as much as your resume. Check individual job listings for specific requirements.
Do I have to pay any fees to apply?
Absolutely not. Mira Staffing will never ask you for money to apply, interview, or secure a job. We are paid by our clients to find great talent like you.
How long is the hiring process?
We move fast. After you submit your application, our team typically reviews it within 48 hours. If you are shortlisted, the entire process—from interview to client meeting—can happen in as little as 1-2 weeks.
What makes Mira Staffing different from other agencies?
We focus on long-term careers, not gigs. Mira enforces higher standards for readiness and reliability, which allows us to secure higher-paying, stable contracts with clients who treat you as a true team member, not just a freelancer.
Equipment & Technical Requirements
What are the minimum computer specifications?
Required: A Laptop or Desktop with at least an Intel i5 Gen 7 processor (or AMD equivalent), or a Mac with an Apple M1 chip (or newer). You must also have 8GB RAM and a 250GB SSD.
Note: A second monitor is also strongly recommended to maximize your productivity.
Do I need a backup computer?
Yes. You must own a functional backup laptop or desktop. Technology fails, and you must be able to switch devices immediately to continue your shift without interruption.
What are the internet and power backup requirements?
Internet: You need a high-speed wired connection (Fiber/Broadband) as your primary source, plus a backup option like a mobile hotspot or pocket Wi-Fi.
Power: You need a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) or generator capable of powering your workstation for up to 8 hours. Short-term outages should never disconnect you from your client.
Do I need a secondary work location?
Yes. You must have a pre-planned backup location (such as a family member’s home, co-working space, or business center) with verified power and internet. You must be able to relocate there during long-term outages (e.g., 7-day power failures).
Does Mira Staffing provide equipment?
No. All applicants are responsible for procuring and maintaining their own primary and backup equipment. We hire professionals who are already prepared to work.
Work Life & Schedule
What are the working hours?
Since most of our clients are based in the U.S. and Canada, many roles require working during North American business hours (night shift in the Philippines). However, we also offer flexible and mid-shift roles depending on the client’s needs.
Is this a project-based or long-term role?
We focus exclusively on long-term placements. Our goal is to match you with a client who wants you to be a dedicated part of their team for years to come.
What happens if I cannot meet the equipment requirements?
Applicants who cannot meet the hardware and reliability standards will be disqualified. Our clients rely on Mira Staffing for consistency; reliability is non-negotiable.
Compensation & Benefits
How does the payment process work?
You will receive your payment on a consistent schedule (e.g., bi-weekly or monthly) via direct bank transfer or your preferred payment platform. We pride ourselves on paying on time, every time.
Do you offer HMO or Government Benefits (SSS/PhilHealth)?
As an Independent Contractor, you receive your full gross pay without deductions, giving you the freedom to manage your own voluntary contributions. However, many of our clients offer generous “Health & Wellness” stipends after a probationary period to help you pay for your own HMO.
Will I receive training?
Yes! Once paired with a client, we provide onboarding support and access to our Mira Resource Library, which includes training on remote work best practices, communication skills, and common tools like Slack and Zoom.
